Intelligent Clipboard®
Our Intelligent Clipboard® allows you to drag and drop rate documents, or copy and paste tables of rate/surcharge information directly into the Garicha Platform.
It's a two stage process.
Firstly, the platform finds structured data in the documents you upload - tables, lists and the like. You can check immediately how all the data is captured. For the technical minded amongst you, we have achieved this primarily through machine learning, using 1000s of different formats of information, but with a bit of algorithmic pattern matching thrown in for edge cases.
Secondly, the Garicha team map that structured data into the standardised formats we use to store data. We have a Surcharge thesaurus containing thousands of surcharge names for hundreds of service providers, hundreds of thousands of Locodes, Iata and Rail hub entries for ports and a dynamic mapping tool can match locations to postcodes, postcode areas, towns, cities, regions or counties or just driving distance.
Once the data is mapped - usually within 24 hours, an updated version of the same document can be uploaded instantly. We can handle changes such as additional surcharges, additional services or additional shipment sizes automatically so minor changes in the document format are perfectly fine. Significant changes might require a quick amendment to the mapping, but that takes minutes and we handle that all for you.
